Damar trees (Agathis dammara (Lamb.) Rich.) Is a member of the beech conifers (Gymnosperms), which is a plant native to Indonesia. Resin spread in Maluku, Sulawesi, to the Philippines (Palawan and Samar). In Java, this plant is cultivated to take its sap or hars. The resin is processed to be used as copal.
